10:14am: defcon!
...speaking of Vegas, won't it be fun to have vamp willow at this?

http://www.defcon.org/

event happening right now this weekend. it's a hackers convention. a 100 buckaroos to get in, but the hackers usually try to counterfeit the badge. ;D this year the badge has a teeny microchip with alternating blinking lights for eyes.

i don't know jack about hacking, much less how my own computer runs. i believe it does so on Magic. :OOO so i put the idea out there for anyone who wants to work a Vegas hackers convention into a story w/ their human or vamp willow.

best!

10:18am: hidden lair patrons have 2 updates!
.......i got busy and forgot to post; hidden lair patrons had a new shortie uploaded on the 21st, 2000 words, and to commemorate the moving to a new location and new password protection, a 11,000 word Master Wil short story was uploaded the 24th, which i'm currently fond of. why? i'll bore you with the details here. Vegas. swank hotel. *auction event frenzy*. ballroom gathering of peers looking swank. it's just a combination of some of the things i've come to reflect upon with nostalgia when i remember convention experiences and such. especially as san diego comic-con just happened this past weekend (which i didn't attend), and creation is throwing a huge Trek convention in Vegas in a few short weeks. anyone going, have fun fun fun! :DDD

yes, i know one of my Hidden rules to the patrons was: don't discuss story details, but since this new site is Locked Up Tight--thank you tinna karen!!--i don't mind mentioning details.

i forgot to close hidden lair membership, but i'll leave it open for another few days in case that's necessary. you know, to be polite. :P

oh wait, i have to indulge in talking about story writing again. i'd just wrapped up writing some short, comic story scripts for d. adventures which i was really happy about. mostly because it's great to go back to adventure story telling in a totally 'G' rating and try to pull off a good story in only 6-8 pages. fresh off the exuberance of that, i needed to kick out more stuff. i decided to do the Master Wil story idea very quickly, which i think took 5 days to write. the style is very simple, fast, direct, and none of that foo foo 'ff writer breaks scenes with ***' stuff. it has about 20 characters, all with at least one speaking line, and all are integral to the story, just like if the script were shot. the scene switches are pretty seamless--at least i think so. Nice trick to learn. that's another reason why i'm currently fond of the story, it plays like an entertaining ep with basically an 'R' rating for language and hopefully very good 'camera' editing ;). readers might think the story's lightweight on theme (not really tho', if you look harder ;D), but i juggled a large cast, so i was really happy with that.

okay, enough on that. best wishes!

12:41pm: hidden lair patrons have an update!
....hidden lair patrons have an update, it's 20,000 words added to 'W.' story remains unbroken into chapters, so you'll have to scroll through to find where you left off. thank you!

my sorries for not answering previous posts for a very long while. i was too busy with grieving over second kitty's passing, and then boo hooing over her vet bills (which were twice that of Kinky's; sob sob), and then sobbing about the IRS, and then sweating through all the freelance that came in at the 13th hr. and now i gotta go sweat some more. some of that freelance was fun, but the IRS will take most of it, so that's not fun.

you would think with all the fluidy secretions i'd be de-toxed, let's hope so! ;D

and now that i've grossed you out with my bodily functions, i hope you're having a sweaty summer! and not one that's flooded! oh wait, i should address something before i go on and on in a, 'i need a drink!' manner.

yes, inquiries in last post! i *have* been writing you non-hidden lair readers off! i should apologize for ignoring all of you! not! money talks! i've unlocked the lair for those who would like to join at this time. consider this a membership drive. i'll consider it successful if just 1 person drops me a note of interest. and then i'll close it up again.

i find i write more freely when i know who my initial reading audience is, which are the patrons of the Hidden Lair. i doubt i'd have written a Rhinestone Kitten, otherwise. i also sometimes forget how 'intimate' some of these stories are and eventually put them up in the main lair. then i go, 'geezus, that was Smart, elizabeth!!!'. i hate getting self-conscious.

so i won't be releasing 'W' for a very long while, not until it's done. and to keep Hidden Lair members special, they do get first viewing of any new chapters for...well, you know.

now to go make pesos. take care everyone! thank you for reading and thank you for thinking of me. i want to thank miz carmela for donation :), Mr. Evil for such kind words and donation :), Miz Lezli for being my ebay supporter Extraordinaire and many things Super Supportive, and Miss Paigey for extra Mundo Supporto Goddess Vibes and for lending me BTVS dvds seasons 2-5 to spin while doing the freelance. i hadn't seen many of these eps! BTVS is pretty enjoyable! ;D Buffy is an intriguing hero. Willow is cute but rather exasperating. shirtless Angel is such a boy toy. Xander's endearing yet exasperating. Oz is cooool. Anya is endearing. I like Joyce. Giles is cooool. Cordelia is funny. Tara's gorgeous, geezus christ. espec. in many of the season 5 eps.

woo hee.

(maybe i'll watch them again),

love,
~e

2:31pm: update, lair and hidden lair
....hidden lair patrons have an update!

there is also an update to the main lair's 'master willow series' page--the one that lists the serials for master willow. the story is 'Rhinestone Kitten', the second in the 'Pearl' series, and now released from the Hidden Lair. the first story was 'Tara of the Sea'. i think people are bookmarking directly to the 'master willow: master willow' page, thinking i'm going to update that serial someday. the problem with bookmarking there is that you won't notice the updates to other pages. but considering that no one bothers to read this update journal either, that's okay too. i can do nothing for readers who insist on doing things their way, and yes, i intend to add to the site in my own way, so there. :P

please be of age to read 'rhinestone kitten'.

also updated to the 'master willow series' page are links to watson's alt. master-verse style short story, 'Earth' (goes direct to her ff site), and binky's 'The Departure of Wicca'd Red' (goes direct to her ff site), which has no vampires but is an homage titling. i think it's really clever and witty, thank you, binky! :)

and i still have to correctly upload armed & dangerous's M.vwil/tara illo, which i'm having dreamweaver problems with. dreamweaver is what i use to build and maintain the lair sites. unfortunately, it has some kind of directory thing going that doesn't recognize my site folders outside of the classic 9 desktop (mac users will hopefully understand what i'm saying), and er, i made the boo boo of working on dupes of my site folders on the Tiger OS. so...my dreamweaver and myself are very confused. apologies to armed, because it may take awhile for me to fix that!

hidden lair patrons: 'W.' is 70K+ words long, and will remain unfinished. it is *not* divided up into chapters. i have to keep emphasizing that because i know some people are going to sit there and try to read it until their eyes fall out.

thank you for the winamp, 'finding beauty', nohogirl! :))) i am pleased and appreciate the gift!

hope everyone's well and best to everyone,
~e!

3:54pm: update to main lair
....i've been away so long, i forgot how to use an l.j.!

hello folks, i'm just sneaking in here to do very light maintenance.
1. the main master willow series page is updated with 'Tara of the Sea', a post-Master Willow: Master Willow short story, one in a trilogy. it's been released from the Hidden Lair. go to the *main* master willow series page.
2. i've been busy with freelance/office temping, so i apologize for ignoring fanfiction emails! your communications are greatly appreciated (well, some are :P). actually i'm behind on all emails on all fronts, so just to let you know, i am ok, thanks very much for keeping in touch! yes i'm being a snotty bitch ignoring you, and I Love You too, my dear usagi-chan. :)
3. the Hidden Lair membership is now LOCKED, i won't be accepting anymore hidden lair members, thanks!
4. i haven't been reading buffy fanfiction, i've given it up so i can concentrate on making a crappy living :D, so please don't assume i've been keeping up and that i'm aware of anything you've written. and yes, the real truth is that i am a snotty bitch and am not acknowledging your work. that said, let me recommend a 'Master Willow clone' short fic (and i bet hidden watson just *Loves* my calling it a 'clone'), which watson had graciously sent me a link to. and which i'm too lazy to go find for you right now. it is called 'earth', i think, written for a w/t series, and i believe it is up at Mystic Muse. you've probably read it already. well too bad, go read it again. and then, with my blessing, you can send many, many, many letters to watson asking her to write the Continuation to the original Master Willow series. :DDDD

yes, do that.

as an aside, if you are interested in writing within psimetis's (that's me) 'Master Willow' universe or writing a clone of it, that's perfectly fine with me, but it is very important that you credit back and hopefully link back to the work (THIS site, this work), which had inspired you or which gives you the template in which to play in. i am not taking credit for the 'master willow' title, which i think exists as another fanfic as well, i mean if you use elements like a Sanctum, Harmony as lieutenant, fairy servants in the house, anya and cordelia as Family members as specified in the Master Willow series, Willow as Master, Tara as Kitten *all together*--i really hope you understand the distinction. if you want to work within my template, that is fine. it would be very nice if you let me know so i can link to you and promote further 'Master Willow' stories. however, if you are just too shy to write me (or clueless), then you must at least specify within your fiction that your stories are derived from mine.

and as is the nature in amateur, online fiction, i've probably scared all potential writers off. :D i really don't know how to explain it more simply: if the story is a *direct* clone, remember to credit back to the original work, if the story is an homage/parody/merely influenced/merely inspired/uses none of my specific story elements kind of story, then don't bother.

now have fun fun Fun!!!!

potential master willow'verse writers: do Whatever the Heck you want. i don't care, kill Kitten, kill Willow, have Kitten shack up with Spike, have Willow boink Buffy, do as you like. i want people to create freely, no matter how badly ;). things can come out of the woodwork that can pleasantly surprise readers, become a new favorite, and maybe even amaze. or a story may make a reader go, 'ohmigawd, that stank'. it's all about the variety. what it comes down to is that the audience is your judge, not me, and *they'll* let you know if they like your master willow story or don't like it. myself, i know everything there is to know in the Master Willow-verse (duh), so i can assume that whatever i write will automatically satisfy Me. ;)

and talking about credit, i'm going to explain, Finally, my use of the designation 'Kitten', in the vamp willow/tara relationship. no, it is not because of Justskipit's 'Please' series. for me to say i wrote an owner/captive story directly influenced by 'Please' would not be true, Master Willow is inspired by Willow/Angelus stories, sorry to shatter your innocence ;). canon vamp willow had a Puppy, it would be natural that she would have a Kitten. if you've read my babylon 5 fan fiction then you'd be familiar with my unfinished story, 'Beauty', where i thought i was just so original having were-Ivanova call captive Talia 'Kitten'. then, around that same time (years ago), i read a great, great pulp fiction style alt-verse ST Voyager story i have forgotten the name of (and the author's handle, unfortunately), where Janeway was a hardboiled private dick during the War and Seven, unnamed, was merely referred to as 'Kitten'. like a steamy, bogart/bacall noir flick with nazi spies, this story's sexuality was just heightened by the Janeway character only thinking of the Seven character as some hot blonde chick--The Kitten. i *liked* how the designation 'Kitten' was not just some nickname that was utilized only in private moments or was separated from everyday life. it was an actual Identity, a true nickname, lending the female (or male character if you so wish, like in Dru/Xander relationships ;D), all the aspects that desigation implies: sex appeal (Bardot), purry playmate aspects, and (something some people have a problem with, like the endearment 'Baby'), objectification as a romantic interest that needs to be taken care of. and despite how liberated you may think you are, some of you are terribly turned on by the 'helpless female' shit. ;)

i loved that janeway/seven detective noir/ww2 story, i really wish i'd saved it to disc, but unfortunately i was not that smart. it also made me go 'damn!' when i'd read it, because i hadn't the chance to do my 'Kitten' nickname play with ivanova/talia first. ;) so it's kind of funny that years later i'd do a less sophisticated spin with this master/pet stuff.

now that i've rambled on and on, let me get back to the list:
5. i hope you are having a safe, and prosperous holiday season. and by prosperous i mean that emotionally, physically, and yes, possibly financially, all things are right.
6. a VERY big shout out to miz lezli, ArmedandListening, and the always evil prince of darkness, mr. Evileros! :)
7. i have to remember to make links to two stories (hello Binky), and Armed hid a vamp willow/tara color illustration in the previous post. i have to snag that and have it uploaded to the main Lair! *makes note to self*

happy holidays everyone! now to light the fireplace! *claps for minions*

all the best,
~e!

5:47pm: hidden lair has an update!
...hidden lair patrons have another update!

this is rated 'R', which really means just 'R'. less physical pain seems to equal a more benign story, but i'll leave you to be the judge of that!

and i know what i'd written as a message before, and i'm sticking to that. there will be no updates to master willow, huntress, and the serial in the hidden lair, because i'm strapped, dammit. the latest story, TofaBDWV was written as a reward to myself while trying to write for other things.

i admit, when i look at it, it looks like the bus ad version of 'brave eyes'. ;)

for those wondering what a 'hidden lair' is, there is a button in the menu of the Lair here. click on that to get details.

and i apologize for being behind on emails! sept is scramble month, i'm trying to score work here and there and telling my ouchie side to please sit in the chair before the computer and not complain! ;) it gets better, but pretty darn slow. so i would ask that instead of demanding more ff for yourself, just wish me luck!!! it's the least you can do, no jobs equals no $ equals no stories. that's how it works.

i know some of you get that, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. but wow, some of you just don't. :O

and while i'm at it, i wish anyone who's not in a cushy period of their life, luck as well.

best!

11:52pm: update, hidden lair patrons
...hidden lair patrons have an update!

(if you don't know what a 'hidden lair' is, you can find the button to click in the site menu).

unlike the previous story, this one's a rating hard 'OW'--meaning 'Ouch', not 'Oh Wow'.

i sort of anticipate some crossing of one's legs while reading it. ;)

it was a story concept i really wanted to get out right after 'TofS'. the problem with kicking it out was that my ovarian tumor decided to be very painful for the month of august. then i had surgery (on the 19th), and wrapping up 'RK' (the new story), was done while grimacing a lot. so if you wonder why there's so much 'OW' in 'RK', that may be why. ;D

for everyone else, 'TofS' (a Master Willow-verse short story), won't be release for quite some time, i need to make the hidden lair patrons feel exceedingly special. am i kissing ass? of course i am. i have med expenses which i'm more than happy to share with all of you!

in the meanwhile, i hope that if anyone's suffering they may suffer less, and if anyone's happy, good for you, :), and if everyone's healthy, you are fortunate indeed. take care!

best,
~e!

4:10pm: hidden lair update
....hidden lair patrons, you have an update!

....tinna karen, could you email me please? my emails are failing to reach you!

oh. :D i'm trying out a new rating system for my stories. have you noticed how some ff writers are discontinuing use of the NC-17 type ratings? i'd prefer to follow the ratings guide used for manga books or video games because i can understand those better than something rated 'FRAO', or 'K', which i don't understand at all. but since i don't have the ratings system for manga books or video games handy, i gave the rating for the newest story as:

Desperate Hard Fuck Fuck Fuck Sex

see, easy to understand. ;DDDD

enjoy!

9:56pm: things
.....there are always 'things', you know, always. even if we were on a desert island with only cocoanuts we'd still find a way to have 'things'. ;)

thing one: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/psimetis/my_photos

i will eventually list this addy on the art gallery page and on the doll theater page, because the yahoo photo album will be the place where i'll cont. to upload ref. photos for the stories and any doll shoots that have no storyline. keeps the weight off my ff site and my web mistress (for my other site) happy. one of the ref. folders is for a work in progress that is not uploaded, which is why i've not given the full name of the story. of course if you decide to write a w/t story containing the logos of cute girl patches/iron ons before i can finish mine, i will be upset with you. :(

thing two: updating fiction recommendations, tara archive, tara/spike archive, vamp willow archive

thanks to everyone who has emailed me to give me permission to link to their stories, let me know what new stories they have, or to update info i didn't have on them. and when will i upload such info? eventually.

i have noticed at least 3 vamp willow stories having concluded. hurry up and upload them to a fiction archive because i am reluctant to do recommendations for message boards. why? since i have RSI, i *really* don't like to scroll more than i have to, to read a story. and for those who are archived at ExtraFlamey, Near Her Always, Mystic Muse, etc., good for you!

of course while i'm in an 'eventually' state of being, i may eventually forget about recommending these latest vamp willow stories. ;)

and it is very, very sad indeed that adrienne's Unintentional Tears (tara fiction) archive is now gone. :( it had stories on there that could not be found anywhere else.

thing three: i am behind on emails! thank you for your patience.

thing four: as always, i have to do my Thank Yous, because without the support of very fabulous Lair patrons i would be in quite a fix. MIZ LEZLI, MIZ CARMELA, thank you!! Miss Kelly, thank you very, very much, you are most kind! and the person known as 'ARMED' (gender unknown ;D), THANK YOU, i am just in Awe of the generosity of such folks.

in progress: 2 for the Hidden Lair. they need more work and some polishing.

have a most excellent july! anyone at San Diego Comic-Con (right this minute! getting drunk, getting laid, i don't want to hear about it! ;D), of course i'm not there (again), this year. i have nothing new to show for myself. but i intend to next year. :)

punk will never die!!! ;DD

and rainbows and kittens do make me giddy.

i think everyone should take this and find out who their inner lesbian is. it's pretty funny. and let me know the results, if you want!

thank you to everyone who bought a Curve magazine just because i was in it! :D (preen). if you haven't bought my comics, buy them already! i'm a stud!

8:56pm: self promo!
....for an article about lesbian cartoonists/comic book creators, i had given a full interview ages ago (and it really rocked), but i'm pretty certain i'm just sound bited for the article, and perhaps they used at least one or two samples of my color work for print! that said, please pick up the JUNE issue of CURVE magazine (http://www.curvemag.com/), and look for my name--not in the personals!!--i mean in the article (that's 'elizabeth watasin', lesbian and cartooooonist when she isn't acting like a disabled person).

i usually try to say Incredible, Inspiring things for interviews, ;) but like i said, i'm pretty sure i'm quoted a line or two!

and even if you are not a card carrying lesbo you can certainly pick up Curve at your friendly neighborhood major bookstores, like Barnes & Noble and Borders. and if you are a guy, you can say you are picking it up for your bi girlfriend. and if you are straight, you can pick it up to confuse your friends! and it's not tawdry or anything, as i am given to understand that anything lesbian automatically equals porn in states like florida. it's a beautiful, gorgeous, (kinda thin), glossy lifestyle rag! no nudity! (i think).

add it to your coffee table!

now to other things having to do with fan stuff:

master willow: no

huntress: no

other stories: no

dolls: i'm tired

shoppe: (which is not a fan thing, but i don't care): MIZ LEZLI is a Goddess!! thank you for wiping out most of my inventory (and in effect, paying for my ultrasound!). i do the dance of Thanks! *dances*

(wheezes)

and this is something i've always wanted to mention, it really is a pleasure to receive very nice letters for master willow. i mean Really, because i was beginning to wonder if all people knew how to write was 'more pleasssse where's morrrrre' and so forth, which is kind of....irritating. so i have received about 3 letters in a row, and one very nice feedback at extraflamey which had put my faith back into This particular fandom readership; that people can be courteous, gracious, sometimes funny!, and most of all, have no qualms about saying 'Thank You'.

i'd once said that with my comic book work, because i make No money with it at all, (Charm School, my book, successfully breaks even and after my publisher's cut i get my wee pesos), that when readers say Thank You it makes it worth the time and pain. monetary success would be nice but the purpose of making the book is to be a positive and hopefully valuable part of the reader's experience. Storytelling is the successful act of communication. it seems i never do anything solely to get my own rocks off, so Master Willow is an exercise in every gift i can give. if it becomes a wonderful experience for you and you let me know, then hurray. :)

and if it were possible for the positve aspects of Master Willow to inspire other works then certainly that would be the ultimate compliment.

and my work would be done.

best,
~elizabeth

But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County line

('Mendocino County Line', Willie Nelson)

i like certain kinds of country--dolly, emmy lou, johnny cash, etc. not serious about it, just one of the kinds of music i like. :) kasey chambers too.

shot another group of photos and had willie on a loop, so i was quite inspired. now, before my l. arm decides to be trouble! quick memory: a long time ago, a dear, dear friend named vincent invited me to his birthday (35th, i think?). it was gay country bar, Oil Can Harry's. vincent was a wonderful storyteller, very magical. the illo he drew for his invite had two men in cowboy hats and slim jeans and two-stepping close together, until they seemed one person with a mix of legs. he said that was how it was, a person just had to see it. i can't dance, but i went, and when the music started and these lean, mustached men started spinning in each other's arms, all tight with boots and hats close together....it's a Beautiful thing. that's when i fell in love with certain kinds of country. :)

and yes, women look Good too. :DDDD

i found a funny BBC acct of a britty reporter familiarizing himself with the two-step experience at an Austin Gay bar. do read it!:

4:53pm: doll theater update!
...added a photo story, 'donut demon'. go to doll theater in upper menu, and click 'photo story' selec. to get to that page. i used goth skipper as wil because she's funnier than my obitsu repaint (who seems kind of creepy! ;O tee hee. brr!). goth skip was also my vry first repaint, and it shows. i will also never re-root hair again, no patience. ;)

the prob with building dioramas is i can't just build one!

trying this photo format see if it works. if pics take too long to download, let me know. enjoy!

~e!

oops, i'm still behind on emails! very sorry! there was a ? about devil duckie. i will look it up, thank you!

5:53pm: update: vamp wil/tara doll theatre
....new page item in menu! now sep. from the Gallery. very 0W wrists here, so will be brief.

there are shoots for 'Master Tara' character and a kind of uber idea: 'Tara in the City'.

i painted the obitsu willow today. she came out ok!

you can find obitsus at: http://www.parabox.jp/eng/shopcart/27goods.html

i used W.02 for v wil's head. you can find tutorials online on how to paint your head. thank you, btw, to people who support me/Lair/Shoppe/ebay auctions, espec. for vet bills. i also bought a head. ;)

why black hair? tara/Kayla has red.

enjoy! let me know if links don't work. and i am behind on emails!! very sorry, thank you for patience.

.....i thought i was done, and then i shot a few more.

mustn't get obsessive! *does exact opposite*

more doll pics, 'Cozy Kitchen' theme in the GALLERY. scroll down the doll pics area. i am severely trying to avoid doing photo stories--because i might do alot of them. not strictly fumetti because that means going in and putting word balloons in the pics and--oh great, there i go again.

i have a doll theater on my pro site, but it's long been inactive because i started working with too many dolls and shooting fight scenes with them became laborious. i'm really trying to avoid falling into that kind of interest/passion here.

i would like to separate the doll pics into a vw/t doll theater page here at the Lair....

ok, stopping now,
~e
ps, yes, the witchy Kayla doll who plays Tara does have green eyes. i am *not* going to dig up my wee model paints. no no no...

11:40pm: thank you!
....someone gave me money! thank you, whoever you are, you are very kind! of course, if it's miz C again, dammit, stop it. miz C gives me too much. my karma is in debt by many years! i'll just have to draw her nekkid Taras or something.

:D

i would also like to very much Thank, from the bottom of my heart, mr. EVIL Eros and miz. Lezli for their Shoppe purchases. huge purchases. very helpful, vet bills-paying purchases. not only do they get goodies at only a FLAT 4.00 shipping fee, but they are damn nice goodies!!

the blue goldstones are now wiped out, miz Lezli is a very lucky (and now mystically powerful) woman.

well, there are still vet bills, so i'm still going to do more auctions, until i feel like the whole sacrificing to the gods process is complete. buying toys and dvds might not seem like part of that process, but i'll be honest: if i didn't do something for myself i would probably go Nutty.

especially when my left wrist keeps bothering me. so! shooting dolls? very affordable therapy.

i'll upload more doll pics, probably tonight! i will not make another LJ entry.

thanks again!

1:39pm: more to watch while doing retouch
....season 1 mutant X for 15.00 (Amazon, seller is DVD Planet). no lie, it's really 6 dvds. :D

i've never watched any before, but mutant X has victoria pratt, she of the incredibly eye-worthy SuperHero canadian bacon bod. (rrrrhumba!). and i've seen her at Xena cons, she's a riot, and rilly niiiice. :DDD

i mean, not just to look at.

her husband is t.j. scott! he directed 'girls wanna have fun', the vampire ep from Xena, and a really neat cleopatra 2525 ep i hope to have someday so i can watch it agin n' agin! his camera work does need some getting used to, but boy, can he shoot club scenes so nice.

i'm sorta hoping he directed some mutant x season 1.

i do not have cable. i watch absolutely no t.v., so what i do have on are selected dvds and videotapes--and yes, cds. nope, i don't do netflix, i don't think i can stay on top of that. the thing about working at home is that it's quiet as heck (and yes, i've no children or spouse). it used to be i could keep turner movie classics on and listen to the well scripted classic movie dialogues while working on rather tedious tasks. like inking pages. now, i'm doing manga touch-up. when i was doing animation, radio adventure (like the super wonderful ZBS Foundation productions) and books on tape were de riguer. did i spell that correctly? ;D

why am i mentioning all this? i think i'm trying to say; i hope mutant x doesn't blow. at least that'll be six hours of work taken care of.

and for those who know, yes, i am trying to watch that left wrist, which is constantly swollen now. had i known it was going to be this constant, i would've sought out a new turboball.

sigh.

i want to shoot more doll scenes but my Tara (witchy Kayla) stand-in doesn't have any Taraesque clothes.

so the 'pancakes' scene has to wait....Barbie just doesn't wear 'hippie'.....

do i really want to go with jeans? oh wait. *light bulb*

7:04pm: gallery update
.....i did go to the toy store. i saw many things. i saw a new Barbie line--the Secret Spells girls. :OOOO please infer what you will from that!! (wee!) and not only was i delighted to see a more new agey/hip witchlike barbie, but it was Kayla (who has an amazingly pleasing face sculp), and well, one customizing thought led to another (i can repaint this as tara!! maybe!! look at that hair!!), and i got kayla and her potion bottles.

so even tho' i'm in mourning, i did treat myself, so all's good. that, and a set of Bratz furniture was on sale as well, so again, i couldn't help myself, it was:

...............(dramatic pause)

Diorama time.

so i put together and shot what is the hasty, eclectic version of a kind of 'Master Willow's Lair' in 1/6 scale. about 15 pics i think, in the GALLERY. frankly, if i had the money and time to build a really Nice Lair......oooo baby :D. but for now, funky colored toy items have to do. it *could*, when i think about it, *might* be possible to make a successful Lair in dollhouse scale. victorian is easy to find, but a bit staid, now that i think it. hmm. no, in the end, i love 1/6 scale better. if Bratz keeps coming out with this 'shag me' furniture (especially on sale), a very nice Lair can be built in the long run, and by then, perhaps i'll have repainted a very nice Tara and Vamp Willow. :D

let me know if any links don't work!

best, and enjoy,
~e

2:50pm: tea party with 12 inch tall friends
.....i'm not feeling particularly cheery still. i'm doing the ritual sacrifice thing to the gods, disguising it as 'let's auction everything in sight for Kinky's medical bills', but it's more like, 'she's gone, let's just get rid of everything'.

it is my birthday today, and what an incredibly UGLY day! so i wept briefly for my cat and played with some dolls. i am very happy to have customized/kitbashed a really cute goth 'vampire' doll. i'll upload a pic:

not a great pic, but oh well!

i've been selling my 1/6 collection--those are 12" size action figures--or dolls the size of Barbie, except they tend to be articulated and have guns and military rides. my Goth doll is a repainted Skipper head with rerooted black hair. Her body is an Obitsu body--that's a Japanese line of articulated girl figures. they tend to have big boobs with nipples. adult doll collectors--they're just perverts. ;DDDD

so Vamp Skipper's leather lace up bodice, studded pants, and excellent biker boots are Barbie (harley Barbie and Ferrari Barbie, respectively), her ax geetar is Misfits. and the patent leather long coat is Cy Girls Jet. it's all about the fashions, baby. her bike is a villains Max Steel ride. i gave skipper studded leather wristlets too that belonged to the shakira doll, that singer. tee hee.

i know there's a 12" vamp willow doll out from sideshow toys, and a regular willow. i've never bought the sideshow girl figures--i've some of buffy's clothes and her 'vampyre' books. accessories from sideshow's horror figures make *great* diorama accessories. had i the extra play $ i'd almost love to have a vamp will 12" (especially for that cat o' nine tails accessory), but i really don't care for her head sculpt. reg. will's head could be switched to vamp will's body i guess, but i'm not fond of her sculp either. what is neat is that certain Cy Girl/ or Barbie heads can be repainted (and maybe rerooted a red head :D), and then i can have my own customized vamp will.

you're probably thinking: gee....she's talking about dolls. well yes, dolls are my friends.

just kidding. sigh.
